Your
kitty is going to be very curious, wanting to explore high and
low, so kitty-proofing the house as a must. Taking the same precautions
as you would with a child, keep household cleaners, car and gardening
products out of reach or in locked cupboards as if they are poisonious
to humans, then they are most certinately poisonious for cats.
Antifreeze
is well known to be enticing for cats to lick, which can be fatal.
If you find that your kitty has taken a poison and it isn't corrosive,
as a first aid measure, induce vomiting by dosing kitty with water
mixed with baking soda. If it is a corrosive do not induce vomiting
and in either case take kitty immediately to the vet!
Below
is a list of some of the most common household plants that can
be the most poisonious to kitty.
